About Mariana Risquez

The New Queen of Latin Soul

Mariana Risquez is a Venezuelan singer-songwriter of Soul, Jazz, Pop & Latin music genres. She has come to be know as “The New Queen of Latin Soul.”

In 2008 she won the award for best composition for the Venezuelan theme for the Beijing Olympics, presented by the official Venezuelan Olympic Committee.
Recognized in the Venezuelan music & entertainment industry as a TV channel exclusive artist, writer, multi-genre vocalist and performer, a well as creating original musical themes for radio and television commercials and shows.

Mariana also stood out as a songwriter and co-producer, creating musical themes for various TV series. Touring all of Venezuela, accompanying other outstanding artists in tours and other concerts, she performed throughout various cities at theaters, popular festivals, sporting events, coliseums, and other well-known venues across the country.

After successfully launching her solo career in 2012, with “The Colors and Melodies of My Expressions” visual artist and music exhibit & tour, Mariana moved to Michigan in 2013 having a well-deserved pause, to restart in March 2017 with the recording of her first live album, and she surprised Michigan with her Latin-soul proposal. The Venezuelan artist gave an exclusive concert in which she explored different Latin American genres fused with soul, pop, and rock in the auditorium of the NextWave Media Lab located in the city of Troy.
